If you are like me, you like vintage pinup type photos … old cheesecake, burlesque, Playboy, etc.

I stumbled upon a Canadian photographer who is doing amazing real-life recreations of vintage style pinup photographs.  For bigger versions of the pics, just click on em.

What is it ‘aboot’ Canadians … they are taking over Facebook, yet they are really cool.  Shimona Henry operates out of the Vancouver area — these are some of her photos.

Her inspiration mostly comes from artists such as Gil Elvgren and Vargas.  She use Photoshop CS2 for effects, etc quite often.

Shimona is available for private shoots.  She does a lot of shoots for women who want gifts for their man or just want to come in to have the glamour shoot experience in a comfortable environment.

She also has a project called Bringing Burlesque into the ‘Burbs project.  She’s started producing burlesque shows in the Lower Mainland outside of Vancouver.

Other inspirations for her are wardrobe and props. Sometimes she will find a new prop or item of clothing and base the shoot on that.
