Since Lucy and myself are both erstwhile Cubs fans (both of us having lived at one time or another in the balmy weather of Chi-Town), I wanted to mourn the demise of YET ANOTHER season of hopes dashed. 1908 and counting … now that’s a curse.

It’s very hard to find pics of the Original 1960s-1970s Bleacher Bums (who were actually bums, not yuppies like today), but this is the closest I’ve found (Emmett Kelly 1957)
